Hello everyone,
Trust that despite the challenges of the time that you are learning that the lesson of trust is learned in the school of trials.
As you are aware, Camps 2009 start in little under a weeks time. The original deadline for camp forms to be submitted was last Monday June 29, 2009 after which a late registration fee of $300.00 will be applied. All things being considered, NMYM has decided to waive the late registration fee, HOWEVER, every effort must be made to get camp forms in ASAP.
Please have ask your congregations to be in prayer for camps this weekend.
Blessings,
Nigel Wilkinson

Camp 2009 is still On!
June 23, 2009
Good afternoon everyone,
Yesterday, the Ministry of Education ordered the closure of all schools inManchester and that all graduation functions for schools in the parish be canceled.
No doubt you are concerned about our upcoming NMYM Summer Camps slated to begin July 11 and continue through to August 15. During the course of today, I have been in touch with personnel from the Ministry of Health and I have been assured that the action by the Ministry of Education does notapply to gatherings such as summer camps. Further, the Minister this afternoon indicated that there would be no curtailment of public gatherings at this time. Hence, NMYM CAMP 2009 IS STILL ON!!!
I want to encourage all our Churches to continue registering persons for camp and arrange to have the camp forms collected by your Area Director or submit them directly to our Head Office by next week Monday June 29, 2009.
NMYM is very aware that the H1N1 virus is a public health threat of national concern and we are not taking this matter lightly. As such, we are in the process of arranging with Health personnel to assist with screening at registration for each camp for the safety of all. As usual, we will have a cadre of Doctors on call to assist should the need arise.
NMYM would like to reiterate the following advice to all:
Wash hands frequently with soap and water or use an alcohol based hand sanitiser,
cover mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing,
avoid contact with persons with flu-like symptoms,
avoid intimate contact including hand shaking and kissing.
Anyone with flu-like symptoms is being advised to drink lots of fluids and rest until the symptoms are completely gone.
You can take regular influenza medication. Aspirin must not be taken.
If symptoms are severe or persist, visit your doctor, health centre or hospital.
We will continue to be in touch with the Ministry of Health leading up to the start of camp and contact you should there be any change as it relates to the staging of Camps.
In closing, we ask that you use the weekend of July 3-5, 2009 to pray for Camps 2009 in all of your services. If you have no one to send to camp, why not sponsor someone to attend camp? It could change your life as well as the life of the one you sponsor.
Yours in His service,
C. Nigel Wilkinson
NMYM Director
